3010 with mild overclocking, forgot that the regular clocks were 10 less than what I had put in rad linker. 355/255 is what I use now and games run like a charm.

(yes i made the correction. lol 305 mhz haha)
i get 2793 with Cat 4.3 drivers modded. I think they are the best ones out yet. They gave me a 20 point boost over Omegas.

Here are my benchmarks on a standard clocked 128MB ATI Mobility Radeon Pro Turbo 9600 in my Precision M60 -

3DMark2001SE - ~9800
3DMark2003 - ~2950
Aquamark3 - ~21,500; 6.5 million TPS

(system details in the sig below)

The above scores were with everything (including antivirus, encryption software etc.) running on my laptop.

3dMark03: 2775 out of the box (in the port replicator) here. About 1000 points lower when running on battery power.

Those with Quadro 1000s - is the engine clock 450MHz or 350MHz?

Thanks.

What I don't get is the obvious pride of people posting their scores with stock speeds.
Bragging rights for having a nice lappy are zero here.
OC and/or mod the damn thing and see wat YOU can do that no one else can, THAT is something to brag about.

I posted some scores a while back, now try this on for size:

i8600 with Windows XP Pro running standard Dell drivers on my cooling modified 9600 PT.
Standard settings for 3DMark03 @ core/mem 470/325 yields 3720 3DMarks.

Unless I am mistaken this is the highest i8600 score here...

That helps people compare different video drivers, makes their decision on which video card suits them best etc.

Very nice scores; however, keeping in the same vein as you, no doubt an XPS owner would laugh at your scores, and point out that your overclocked scores are still not up to par with his Radeon Mobility 9700.
Actually, the highest score on an XPS I've seen here so far was from some 530/315 clocked MR9700 and that ran just 4040 3DMarks.
A difference (so far) of 320 3DMarks doesn't exactly make me wallow in self pity.

So far I'm still the (self crowned) king of the hill in i8600 land and even in the non OC'd XPS/i9100 border area X 2! (or just )

I believe that stock speeds for the XPS are 450/260?
Anybody care to correct me on this?

just got my i8600 yesterday.

1.7, 256MB Ram, 60gig 7200rpm

got 9714 on 3dmark01 after I got rid of all those useless dell programs and background programs.

My results with an Inspiron 8200 and Quadro 4 Gogl 700 at stable 277/572:

3Dmark2001SE: >12000
Aquamark 3: ~17,500

my compaq x1000 that I returned got only 700 with 3dmark03. that is something to be happy about when i got my 8600. granted you can get higher scores with better videocards and more overclocking a jump from 700 to 3000 is great. i hit 3690 but never posted it cause i will never use it at such a high frequency when i use my laptop.

Hey stichl your 2k1 scores are unusually high for a Geforce 4200 card even at that clock
post #36 of 105
3DMark01: 9944
3DMark03: 2814

To Dell-Machina:
I don“t think so.
I receive my 2001-scores (>12000) with following setting:
sideband-adressing on
P4 2,4GHz @ 2,54GHz
My record up to now is ~12500 @ 290/580 and P4 2,4GHz @ 2,65GHz. This setting is stable for one cycle of 3DMarke2001 (maybe two), only.
Moreover the soundcard is not functioning any more, because the FSB is too high.
The limiting factor is the CPU, I think. With more CPU-power the 2001-score would be still higher!

True, no way I will use 460/325 in real life.
But OC'ing isn't about reaf life usage, it's about performance, reaching goals, being better than the rest (even if only for a few seconds).

It's like a sport

What do you use to clock the FSB?

To change the fsb on inspiron 8200:
first you have to replace the original PLL Cypress W320-04 by ICS950812 respectively (with few changes) ICS950813.
Then you can use the tool Cpufsb from www.podien.de
You need very good soldering experience to do this!
