3DMark scores - Page 4

And now for something completely different...

Getting higher scores is easy enough, one is even higher than the previous highest.
How about lowest scores this time..

On my i8600 (not exactly the slowest system on the block) I can get all the way down to 258 3DMarks03.

Try and beat THAT!

hmm this is odd. I got curious what my 3dmark bench would be, and i get a 2977 running each test with 3 iterations. This is with a clock of 355/255. Now as I had posted a while ago, my bench at this clock speed was a solid 3010. Nothing has changed in the meantime settings wise. Does anyone have any ideas what could be the reason for a 40 point loss? (yes i know it's just numbers and pish posh.. but it makes me curious why).

Ok i found out samurize eats up 16 points and speedswitchXP takes up 15 points. So not I'm back up to around 3010ish. I didnt' realize these two progs killed my score by so much.

Can someone try clocking at 355/255 and see what they get?

spike those numbers are off by 20...

perhaps the higher score was done when you turned on the computer after it had a cool-down / rest time

ever notice ur car is slightly faster when u run it in the cool morning?
and how it is kinda sluggish on a hot day?

As well as that, it could also any other number of little software issues, could be you had different drivers when testing before (are they the same ones?), could be any number of things. 3dMark scores are very sensitive and that is pretty much within the normal bounds of variation, so not to worry Spiike.

2977+16+15=3008
last 4 benches were
3010
3011
3008
3008
how is this 20 off?

Are u talking about my clock speed? Because I do run my laptop on 355/255 (overclocked with radlinker) all the time.

i run these back to back without "cooling off time." And if you read my post, the performance gain was due to exiting out of these programs that ate up quite a bit of resources. And btw, your car runs better when it's cool because the air is more dense with oxygen. It has nothing to do with a cooler engine which would impede performance.

Sakor, I'm not worried about it. As long as far cry can play fine, it's awl good. I'm just surprised that these two programs would effect the score by as much as 40 points. Since these are programs that "run in the background" while using minimal resources.

Hey guys, I am having trouble install Omega in my inspiron 8600 1.5 + raden 9600 system. When I install the package and restart it, my window will be very slow and non of my games will start. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I hope one of you guys can help me. Thanks..
Oh also what's the highest or the best clocking for Radeon 9600 in a i8600 system. Thanks
post #70 of 105
default clocks are best since you wont run the risk of FRYING your video card or system. However if you MUST overclock cause it makes you feel better about yourself or want those measly 3 extra fps in games then try not to go above 5%

If it wasn't Friday afternoon I'm sure I could find the answer to this myself but do you know off hand what Dell's position is on overclocking? I'm sure warranties of all kinds would be voided..
Oh I see.. THanks Dell-Machina... I wasn't going to OC since it will just overheat my laptop. However, I see a lot of people are using Omega Driver.. and so I thought I would give it a try but everytime I try to do it. It just doesn't work. I just follow the steps and it never worked. Is there something I need to do or doing wrong? I thought since our config of Dell laptop are the same (i8600) maybe someone can help me out. ^^ Thanks

First of all, who cares if someone lies about their scores on the internet. It isn't going to matter either way.

Second, Stichl don't take a picture of your monitor with your camera.
All you have to do is hit "print screen" and then open a photo program like Photo Shop and start a new file and paste the picture. GL

p.s. AquaMark3 score was 3,320 GPU, total score was 27,000. I'm not posting a picture because if I'm lying about it the only person I'm hurting is myself.

if anyone wants proof of my results or wants me to run any other benchmarks let me know. i dont need to lie its pointless

This is really a wonderful idea. I´ll do some screenshots from my desktop-PC with radeon 9800xt and then will tell you that my Inspiron 8200 will do 20000 3dmark2001, demonstrated through my screenshots I did

I repeated a bench, did a photo and inserterted additionally your screenshots you wished.
I did it with PSP8

As you can see I overclocked my 2,4GHz-P4 mobile up to 2,67GHz.

Its about time.

My score on the 3Dmark03 was 3456. I think that is fairly good seeing I started at 1500 or so. This is what I did, which won't be a surprise to many

1)Bought a 60gig 7200rpm or something like that HD/replaced orginal 60gig

2) Re-installed windows, on new drive

3)Haven't upgraded any bios or Drivers.

I am very pleased. Thanks troops for all the infor, a clean install is the way to go, the new HD makes my system fly, no delays.

I dunno if its normal but when i only have 1 hdd in the system it doesnt make any noise but with both hdds on top of each other it makes a humming noise.

3dmark03 - 4148
3dmark01 - 13775
aquamark3 - 33264
