I was thinking of getting an Aurora M7700

I'm looking to get a desktop replacement laptop. Along with internet I want it to be able to play any of the games out there. I naturally thought of Alienware. I decided to get a computer with an AMD Athlon processor, and I did some research and found there was minimal difference between the dual core processors and single core when it came to gaming (and I wasn't planning on having a bunch of applications open at once). The Aurora came out to about $3600 with an AMD Athlon 4000+ processor. I figured I'd do research into other options and two other computers came to mind. Hypersonic makes the Aviator FX7 which basically has all the aspects of the Aurora but a little cheaper. CyberPower also has a laptop like this but it only offers a one year warranty (I'd like 3). I'm not going to buy WidowPC, Falcon Northwest, or Voodoo because they're too expensive. I looked into others but these 3 seemed to be my best bet. Is Hypersonic and CyberPower the same quality as Alienware? Any recommendations?

OK, but when I configured a Hypersonic when I made it $3600 (which is the limit I want to spend) it was just like the Alienware (2 GB memory, 80 gb 7200 rpm hard drive, etc.) but with a x2 4800 dual-core processor and a better display. Besides that they were the same. I don't know who's more trustworthy. Sure, the Aurora is better looking, but is it better quality?

It's the same computer. Same hardware. Perhaps they use different memory, but that's not a big deal. Several companies sell this same system. Alienware, Hypersonic, PCTorque, DiscountLaptops, Voodoo, FalconNW, Cyberpower, RJTech, etc. all get this system from a Taiwanese manufacturer named Clevo. As such, build quality isn't really going to change, but when your laptop breaks it's the customer service that you should be concerned about. That (and the price and aesthetics, but mostly that) is what separates all these companies.

Since this is an Alienware forum I guess I'll ask, does Alienware have good service? I've heard some bad things about them, but every single company has complaints. Any experience with Hypersonic?
