"Insufficient System Resources Exist to Complete the API"

Perhaps this will save someone some time. After a fresh install on my TM8204 I was receiving the above message on hibernate. The below patch seems to resolve the issue.

It worked for me as well. I have a Toshiba M200 that STILL won't hibernate correctly with 1.5GB of RAM (it hibernates sometimes, but not consistently and without any visual status). After applying this fix, my 8204 hibernates 100% of the time and precisely as expected.

Whugster,

I used the one you linked to, and it resolved the issue on my machine.

I think a call to Microsoft is in order.

I think the hibernation hotfix is incorporated into the multiprocessor hotfix... It's normally the case that newer system files include earlier fixes, and since the multiprocessor hotfix versions are newer than the hibernation files, both fixes should be in play.

My versions of the files listed are newer than those in both hotfixes, and so in any case I think I'm covered.

Well, hmmm... Not sure. If there were a test I could run to see if the multiprocessor hotfix is in place, I'd be happy to. But, my system definitely hibernates with no problem.

I'm having this hibernation problem on my 8204 as well.

Contacted Acer and they refered me to the 330909 hotfix. I tried installing it. No go. An error message came up indicating that this fix was for non service pack installations.

So back to the 909095 fix. Does anybody have it? If so, can you share it? I don't have a lot of faith in Acer solving this problem anytime soon.
