8890 For Sale

Thread Starter
Howdy all- long time reader, first time poster. That aside, I have an 8890 for sale. Specs are:

15-16" UXGA Active Matrix Display
3.06 GHz IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® 4 Processor with 800 FSB + Hyperthreading
1024MB 400MHz DDR Dual Channel RAM
80GB 5400rpm
TV-Tuner with Remote
ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9600 Pro 64MB DDR 8x AGP
Built-in 3.5" FDD
Wavetable 3D Stereo Advance AC97
10/100/1000 Built-In Ethernet Adapter
Infra Red, Wireless Fast IR interface, 2 Type II or 1 Type III PCMCIA Slots
1 IEEE-1394 Firewire Port (6 PIN), 4 USB 2.0 Ports
Other Ports: 1 S/PDIF out & microphone in, 1 infrared, 1 headphone, 1 parallel, 1 Serial, 1 PS/2 keyboard, 1 SVGA video, 1 S-Video-Out, 1 S-Video-In, 1 RJ-45, 1 RJ-11
DVD-RW/CD-RW Combo drive

I'm asking $2000 US for it, I bought it in October (approximately) from pctorque and although satisfied, have fallen out of playing games/going to LAN Parties (which would seem to be the best thing for a Sager). Only notable change to the 8890 is the fn/ctrl key switch I did with the keyboard BIOS flash. Will be shipped with a clean format, NTFS, unless whoever buys this specifies differently. Any further questions, concerns, etc. should be directed to my email brockmmp@notes.udayton.edu.

Peace.

Forgive me for pointing out a few things, but could you clarify the "actual" screen size.
and how did you manage to get only 64MB of Ram for the ATI 9600 (m10)

Whoops

lol- you are correct, I forgot to check the screen size, my bad. It's 16". About the other comment...huh? It's what I chose.

Uhh..the 64 MB M10 was never an option for the 8890..

Without being too harsh on you Sephiroth, you don't exactly inspire confidence in anyone with this deal. Lets see, first time poster, the 8890 was only ever offered with 128MB (unless PC Torque can verify otherwise), and questions about screen size.

If I was a buyer, I would need verification of your ownership of the 8890. That would be simple to do by the buyer requesting the invoice number on your invoice from PC Torque and having PC Torque confirming your details (which I am sure they would do). Then I would consider the deal as having some form of legitimacy.

Whoops...again...

My apologies. It is a 16" screen, and has an ATI Radeon 9600 with 128MB. I'd be more than happy to provide my invoice number.

Sorry about any ambiguity or lack of confidence I inspired with my earlier posts, I failed to proofread and check the specs for the system. To be honest, I haven't used it regularly for weeks, and my mind has been busy with other preoccupations.

There are 10 kinds of people in the world, those that belong on Ebay and those that don't. (Or any other legit For Sale site, for that matter.) Sounds fishy.
