Help: i am going to NYC, where to buy HD and CPU ?

Hello

I know , it's a strange question
but this week, friday, i am going to NYC and
would like to know the best shops to buy Northwood CPU
and hard disk for my 9100

I am looking for used high end audio too
or interesting electronics shop

Uh smatteo,

I don't wanna shock you, but prices are HIGHER in NYC. Why would you want to by your retail and OEM parts there? Just go to Newegg or Zipzoomfly for all your HDD and CPU upgrade needs. You could get it shipped 2-day air today, and still probably pay less than taxes you'll pay against the purchase in NYC, or the state of New York for that matter.

Go catch a Broadway show, and never, EVAR, speak of this blasphemy again. As far as used audio and other weird electronic shops go? Sry, you really will have to ask the New York Homies.

try online like Newegg

Check out slickdeals.net a forum for deals. NYC is in my opinion the worst place to buy any electronics.

I train pilots, they travel from all over the world and the exchange rate is in their favor, I strongly caution them to avoid NYC buying. I have had horror stories from clients, things they paid double what they could find online easily

Try that forum, the items you seek are often incredible deals there. I got my 700M for under $700 using the tips on that forum. Got my ram upgrade for $13 a 512 stick, delivered overnight! USB thumb drives 1 gig for 18 bucks...

you gotta look often but the deals are there

i am in NYC> there arent that many computer shops. not ones that know their stuff anyhow. i think your best bet would be CompUsa, but the prices suck compared to online.
