Indigo dj and emachines

I'm thinking of getting the new M5309
http://www.emachines.com/products/pr...achines_M5309#
It has TI Cardbus controllers so will it be safe from crackles and pops?
The cardbus is sharing an irq with the radeon card which is kind of scary.
I had a toshiba laptop that had horrible pops and clicks with the layla laptop card. Any advice?

Nevermind it works fine sharing IRQs.

I can empathize. I can confirm that the HP 17" ZD7000's PCMCIA slot does not "play ball" with the Echo Audio cards ( Indigo, Layla Laptop) because of the subpar ENE CB710 CardBus controller. I had to trade the Layla Laptop for a MOTU 828 MkII - which by the way does work wonderfully with the ZD7000.

So you are saying that the firewire on the HP is OK for music applications?
What controller chip is that?
I'm converting my studio over to a mostly Mlan Setup and I have to make sure all this firewire stuff is up to spec
I'm really getting impatient for the new Sager 8790 to be released!
My other options are the HP ZD7000. I even looked at the Emahine 5309, but the core logic chip is a Via Apollo K8HTB. I haven't done any research on this chipset yet, but I know for desktop applications, Via didn't have a very good reputation.
I'm so confused on what to get. Of course my lappy will be mainly used for mobil music performance, but I would like to rock out to World of Warcraft (when it finally hits retail).

M5116 turned out to be fine with indigo dj but ram of 512 does not seem to be expandable!
