build quality

just wanted to know if anyone could comment to the build quality difference of the zd 8000 and the compaq v4000t. I hear the compaq has excellent build quality. is the body plastic or metal? how does it compar to the zd (my lappy) just wondering im thinking that im done with desktops and will buying lappys from now on (i love the portability)

Im not positive but I know most of the HP/Compaw series ahve been plastic the past 2 years, they may have changed their way to a thicker plastic but i highly doubt they have moved to any kind of metal as the costs would increase and they can be budget laptops.
