I tried to order a m170 a few weeks ago and after the 3rd rep that I couldnt understand I gave up!!! good thing too cause I found some awesome people on here to deal with .....

oh and i am glad you do not own a piece of hardware similar to mine...it is way way way way way way to good for you my buddy with a bomb ass tablet some toshiba drools over the speed and pimpness of mine and he has built over 200 comps and servers so damn thank you alienware maybe you saw he was an ass and decided to pull his chain and beat him with it while having his aw so close yet so far away!!!again thank the lord he didn't get it!!!!!

"I say it is a joke becuase how else can you explain the phenomena of phases jumping from 3 to 9 in a matter of minutes... or in my case jumping from 1 to 3 in five days when others take fifteen minutes.."

Just FYI the reason I went straight to phase 3 without a wait is I called my credit card company and told them I was going to put an unusally large charge on my card. I wanted to make sure fraud alert didn't kick in and that the funds would be transfered the second I ordered. I don't think I ever actually saw a Phase 1. It's called thinking ahead...

Why is everyone acting so childish? Dana0550 didnt do anything wrong, he was just bitchin about something HE felt wasn't right. You guys dont have to agree with him, but dont start this bickering either. Most of the time all you people have good things to say and are helpful to others with questions. Why start acting so juvenile now? So what if Dana0550 was impatient and cancelled his order? So what if he thinks the different ship dates are bogus? Maybe they are and maybe they arn't. It doesnt really give anybody the right to start bashing him for what he believes. Yeah he bitched about the service but he didnt "attack" anybody here Hammerhead. If anyone was attacked it was him. You guys shouldn't respond so negatively just because someone has a different opinion. I can see both sides of the argument, but honestly there shouldnt be an argument in the first place. Why dont you all grow up.

I guess there's just a lot of emotional invesatment in such a large purchase for most people. Someone giving up on the company can stand out and erode people confidence in something they rely on and have invested a good deal of time and money in. I said earlier I can understand the need to cancel the order, he has a business to take care of. I have the luxery of buying simply for pleasure so I can put up with delays that he can't.

Have you ever visited the Battlecruiser 3000 A.D. forums? There's a good example of what happens in situations like this. People spent a lot of time playing a game that had major flaws. So if anyone mentions those flaws, even in a non-aggressive manner, it's taken as an attack against those that are fans of the game and the response is flamitory. It's like if the players would admit that there are times that the game wasn't perfect that they had somehow failed themselves in spending the time supporting it.

The D&D Online forums are the same by the way. Just mentioning giving up gets you jumped on in a manner that would be aggrivating in one had any emotional investment in the game. I don't know, it just doesn't seem that unusual for a announcement of someone retiring from the ring on what is essentially a fan site is going to cause a bit of a turmoilt.

dammit they do not have some one running around scanning documents for phases maybe they should bu it is a game and the system is updating all the time so sometimes you go from 9 to 1 and back to 9 in a few minutes that's life get over it!!!! dammit it's easier said than done but look away...though i never did look away and i am in love with her we are thinking about sleeping together but we are taking it slow considering we want a lasting relationship...i have to be proper with her!!!1 need to keep her happy but nvidia isn't allowing that yet..... i need more power frenchies warp speed to 7900 go asap!!!!! i should just drive over to bfg tech and be like dammit i need more power... they will tell me i am crazy and i already know this with all the stress lately but dammit they should be able to hook me up they are only like 20 min away...lol

Nice job hammerhead, it's nice to see someone around here has a pair of balls and a brain in their head. It's unfortunate that people like Dana come on here and crap up threads due to their own ignorance. Sometimes I truly wonder if people even think about what they are saying on here or if they just decide to say all the dumb things they can think and then see what happens. Anyway, just wanted to give two thumbs up to hammerhead for pointing out all the infantile gibberish that Dana was trying to poison us all with.

Hammerhead do not start making personal attacks:

You guys who think he is making a good point are wrong...

1.) I paid with my Amex card (They just kept saying it was not in the system, and then I needed to call to confirm which I tried to day right after I placed the order, and the each day after.)

2.) Not all companies use the processor I wanted... Fx-60, FNW does not use it, Voodoo probably does but they are a bad company.

I think what AW did was unfair... And most people on the forum just love AW so much that they start to cry when someone has another opinion... I still think AW is a good company, but no matter what company it is, I will never stick up for them as much as you guys do because like I said earlier AW is a business and they care about their customer to a very small degree...

If they cared when I called to cancel, they would have tried to convince me otherwise, but once I told the situation they knew they were wrong...

For $5000 I expect better service...

I have been waiting longer than you, I spent $6170 and I agree with Hammer, you do not have the patience for an AW build. Places like Best Buy do sell computers you can take home with you, so maybe that would be a better fit for someone with your patience. That ship date is not etched in stone either, but you are only weeks away from your date and you cancel now...there is more to this than what your saying, as that just makes no logical sense at all.

I like how he thinks he is the only customer they have and he spends 5000, wow, the world must stop turning for him. Hell i spend 3800 on a Dell, 4200 on an alienware 7700 then 3000 on m5700. Plus i am fixing t order a m3200, So i am more special than you! Well according to your way of thinking anyways. I agree with Hammerhead, maybe it is a good thing AW doesnt have yo as a customer...

As someone who ordered his Aurora on Jan 8th, had a quoted ESD of Jan 24th, and *still* hasn't gotten his computer (Phase 9, looks like it'll ship today), I have to agree with this. You've gotta learn patience. *shrug*

Now, with regards to CS, I have to admit when I called I got someone (A few someones, actually. They transfered me around a little bit) with a fairly heavy latino accent. I mean, they were quite nice, knowladgeable, etc, it was fine, but they most definatly had an accent.

dana0550, don't complain until you have been in my spot. You have to understand each computer is a custom job therefore custom delivery date. always expect a month or so, remember you are not ordering a pizza here (geeze I repeat this line so much here it must be my catch phrase). who gives a crap who is first, second, etc. As long as you get a functioning system in a "resonable" time who cares. grow up. I would much rather been waiting for my system as they factory fixed it in the phase game than what I'm going through right now, an extra couple of days would not have mattered then.

Sorry you're upset so easily, but they can't babysit you, as you said they're a business. You were given an estimated delivery date, you didn't even wait to see if they could deliver on time.

You act like they killed your first born or something...

If they tried to talk you into keeping your order, you'd have said it was too late now, and come here and posted that Alienware is only cares about your money. Maybe after dealing with you they figured it would be easier just to cancel your order and eat the time they had dealing with you.

Wow, now that computer is overdue... Dana didn't even wait for his original delivery date before cancelling.

I hope the computer is everything you hoped for after that kind of wait.
