DVD burner question

I just wanted to know if this DVD burner will fit and work in a m5500:

I got that one for my m7700. Dont see why it wont work for your m5500.

Prolly not the cd drive in the m5500 has a way different shape

You could call Alienware and ask what they offer, then compare... If you're going to do that, ask them for their price on a dvd burner for your laptop. You get upgrade hardware for life at their "vendor cost" which is about 10% less than retail price, and if they sell it you can be pretty confident it'll work well in your machine.

Call customer service and ask.

By looking at the hold I had on my credit card, they were cheaper than even the egg for that drive.
