Keep My VAIO A290 or Buy Dell E1705

I currently own the VAIO A290. I have had the computer for 15 months without any problems. I really like the WUXGA screen. Sony does not make a 17" laptop with the same resolution. I am using my laptop as a desktop replacement mainly for photoshop, database, downloading and watching torrent files, and audio. Now with the new technology there are better processors, and graphics cards. I came across the Dell Inspiron E1705 laptop. I can buy the laptop for around $1,900 with better specs than my Sony. What should I do. Thanks

Sony has really dropped the ball by dropping the WUXGA screen. The dual core notebooks are so much faster than the Sony that I would move to Dell even though the screen is not quite ass good. In fact I will be doing just that.
