buying in Hong Kong (China) ?

Thread Starter
im going to Hong Kong and was wondering ... if i bought a notebook there would it work here (UK). I could no doubt save money over there (i would think) but there could there be problems with power input /hardware/software?

Just wondering if anyone has an first hand experience?

cheers

Power input should be fine as the ac/dc converter handles most power sources. you probably won't even need a plug adaptor since I'd assume HK plugs should be same as UK plugs.

Warranty is the only problem. make sure to buy international warranty if it's an option, otherwise you're on your own.

ps, don't need to bolden text.

The HK plug is idential to the UK plug in most cases. We use the big 3 prong ones officially, though for some reason, those two prong ones, 3 round prong plugs etc. are floating around...
