Change to x1400 must be bad for there numbers as the $750 off coupon starts today, which I would have used in a heart beat with a 7800.. but now its just wasted for me.

it doesn't work on the xps either, tried that first

if anyone doesn't know where to get these coupons at here is a linky

For me the problem is that they haven't stuck the x1300 or x1400 in the e1505. I'm still holding out for a dedicated gpu in that machine before I make a purchase.

they had the x1400 in the e1505 for 2 days last week, pulled it when the $650 off coupons came out and switched the x1400 over to the e1705 killing the 7800.

i never saw the 1505 with a x1400. i check 2x a day. im in waiting for it (:

shame dell jacks their prices up too. the t2500 cost 240 a day ago to upgrade to. Now, it costs 350$. simply ridiculous!

it was there, had it in my cart a few times, was extremly close to buying, but wasn't sure if the x1400 would play WoW and BF2....

i'm pretty sure it will, well

The x1400 would probably play WoW decently, but certainly not BF2 reasonably.

Could they have just released the 750 coupon as a "last push" for the sales before they enable the E1505/1705 dedicated GFX option ?

It's Possible, that would be a relatively good marketing decision, in respect to the "general public". Not everyone is like us and keeping track of the site changes daily.

I find it completely irrelavent that they came out with a 750 coupon since they upped all the component prices for the upgrades. I also noticed the spike in the upgrade from T2400 to T2500, it used to be 240 and now is a 350 dollar option, that alone kills the extra 100.00 for the 750 vs. 650 coupon. If you add the other upgrade price hikes on it really isn't worth it again.

Lack of 7800 is a deal killer for me! oh well.

WRT the upgrade prices: Last week Dell had the promo of 20% off. So the week prior to that it cost $100 to go to 1.86 ghz and $300 to go to 2.0 ghz. Last week the upgrades cost $80 and $240 respectively, or 20% lower. I may be mistaken, but Dell was just going ahead and showing what the net cost of the upgrade would be, already including their 20% discount.

It is true though, that there is still a mark-up on processor upgrades. I didn't notice if other upgrades cost more though.
