Yea, less a 16" screen, cool looking case and a removeable GPU, but nevertheless you got what you paid for.

I just dropped cash on my AW, I don't have a ton of time to go out and spend my money so it saves up pretty fast.

How long did it take you to save up enough?

Well it didin't actually, I just had the money. Technically I guess I have been saving since I was about 19. Then I got married at 22 and now we both save, and since we never spend it, the money is just kinda always there.

I am sure there are smoe other old folks on this board that can relate to this, I am not describing it very well....

I used to be in a lot of debt...so I didn't buy anything for about 5 years. Now that I've got money in savings, I can use some of it to buy a laptop. I suppose you just have to be able to have the self-discipline to put the money away without spending it. I learned that the hard way...making ends meet when I was in debt was NOT fun.

one inch doesnt matter to me, The case was a big one to get over, but my 5680's case looks very cool so I dont mind that, and the removeable GPU thing....I dont need it really, My 9600 pro turbo is one sweet card, and if I ever want to upgrade, I will do it the hard way once there is one available. The upgrades are like $750 for the Sagers, but its worth it since you basically get a whole new laptop.

Now I spoke with Sager before I purchased my Aw, and they said a mobo upgrade on the 56x line was 1,100. And there was no guarentee that they would even have such an upgrade in the future as parts were seldom compatable for the older chassis.

Wrote a program for one of my clients which took about 3 days. Nevertheless, I am like Time-Pilot, the money has always been there. I have been saving for about 12 years now. Credit cards are the devils work, in my opinion.
