The little known Phase

So my mj12-7700a finally arrived... after waiting for the backordered clearview screens and then QC finding a problem and kicking it back to production (39 days from order to receipt)... I got it!

You'd think I'd be happy.

Problem is, is that I'm in the "the machine got to me with a bad raid controller right out of the box and I had to send it back to Alienware for another two weeks to get it fixed" phase.

Can you friggin believe it? This has been such a joke. The CS reps were little more than apathetic to my problems and could have been alot more helpful. A "we're sorry" would have been nice, but all they did was blame it on the shipper. This is of course totally possible, but given that my machine lived in QC for a week then got kicked back, the alternative is just a likely... but not according to anyone I talked to.

I was told by a manager that "this is why you bought a warranty"... can you beleive it?

I would suggest getting ahold of one of the Alienware reps that frequent this board. Send them a PM. (not sure if correct spelling: AWRichard, AWSteve, and many others.)

Well, AW does not make hardware, they build computers...it is unfortunate and I would be upset also, but better to get this stuff fixed now than later...boutique custom builds are touchy things, and yours is top of the line....but they perform like nothing sold anywhere else...be patient, you will be glad you were....there are a few AW guys here, as stated, who will gladly keep an eye on it for you and be sure it is 100% when back in your hands...as to the CS guys...hopefully, he was having a bad day...but, he was right about one thing...it is what that warranty is for....hope your up and running again soon....
