Drop me a private message with your email address and I will send you pictures of the screen, hope it helps.

@ sarpus: An excellent review! Thanks!

You say that the notebook is very fast. In your Signature you have mentioned a 10.000 RPM WESTERN DIGITAL RAPTOR. How would you compare the performance?

I also use a Raptor in my desktop pc and I don't want to lose this performance bonus. Is the core duo (compared with a P4 3,0) able to compensate this?

Are you certain? The thickest part should be the back. It's definitely wedge shaped in all the side pictures I've seen, and HP claims that it's 1.3" thick at the thinnest point (the front). I'd expect it to be at least slightly thicker at the back, maybe 1.5 or so.

Sorry not meaning to doubt you, I just kind of wanted verification how thick the back of the notebook it.

I had the benefits of the 10k rpm raptor especially in loading times, extracting huge compressed files etc. But Nx9420's 5400 rpm hdd is also fine, with 1 gigs of 667 mhz ram, the machine is flying! A fast hdd gives you faster loadings yes, but if you are running multiple apps at the same time the core duo cpu really rocks at this point. I am really excited by the performance of this notebook after my AMD64 3000+ with 10k rpm raptor.

Here is an example : While I am waiting for the game load in World of Warcraft, my desktop pc comes up faster, but in game performance is much more better because of a faster cpu and faster rams.

Thanks, that sounds good!

Does anybody know if the Core Duo in this Notebook is replaceable? (e.g. for CoreDuo 2 Merom)

According to toms hardware the screen on this system is too slow to handle NFS most wanted - just a thought for any gamers out there. I think they tested the "midrange" res screen....not sure though.
