8204 VOIP phone and Skype, et. al.

Has anyone gotten their 8204 VOIP phone to work with Skype? I've paired it successfully with my system, via VCM, but: when I start a (test) call, and hit the Bluetooth button as instructed to have the VOIP phone pick up the call, it hangs up instead.

Am I just doing something silly? Any help is appreciated...

To my mind, Speaker button should be pressed to answer a call.
A piece of advice - try to read less documentation. You have your own brain, which is capable to apprehend the functionality of this small phone on its own

I see, said the blind man... Except, it didn't seem to work. I'll have to keep playing with it.

Well
1) run VCM
2) turn on the phone
3) press and hold bluetooth button
4) click smthng like Search for connected... btn in VCM
5) when your phone is found, dbl click on its row
6) launch Skype
7) A message should appear: Another program is trying to interfere..blablabal
8) VCM bar should display Skype
9) When a call arives, press Speaker btn, enjoy

I was playing with the Phone and Skype just the other day got it to work once. And then battled the second time.
I'll try the steps supplied by the more knowledgable one.
