Hi does one of you know if there exists any diferent from the Sata version of the 9890 and the PATA version? any other diference than the cable and HD?

for be more exacts if you buy a 9890 with ATA drives and then after while you buy a SATA drive and the SATA cable for the 9890 can you use this drives just swaping them, so get out the ATA drives and cable ad conect the new SATA cable and install the new SATA drives will it work? or do you need any other modification? any jumper in the mobo or something or it work with either SATA and ATA drives?

OR maybe there is a MOBO diference?

At this moment I have both the SATA cable and the ATA cable and I want to be sure to buy the SATAs Drives but I am aware of broking my ne MOBO.

get the sata drives. they have 2 channels and can act as a true raid 0 setup whereas the ata ones have only 1 channel and are crippled in raid. regardless of raid, go with sata 7200 rpm drives as they are the fastest ones for this system
