6600?? THey don't make that, You mean 7700?? It is a bit TOO big and heavy, I do occassionally fly and need battery life not to mention that thing is way to big to rest on my lap for 3 hours!!

I think he was talking about the 5500's graphics card, the GeForce 6600 Go. The Sentia doesn't have a non integrated card.

I see you got the 1900 1220 resolution, How tiny is that?? I have seen a couple fo 17's with it and it is much smaller than my Desktop LCD is!!

But is that resolution too small on a 15.4?? (By the way I DO Have good vision

I love the 1920x1600 resolution. I had to up the DPI setting to make icons and text a bit bigger, but it really is amazing how great it looks.

Thanks for the response, i have another issue if you have a sec. One of the reasons I am having trouble deciding between 5700 and 5500. 5700 has a subwooker (likely small increase in sound quality) But also it does not have the PCMIS slot just the new pci express which they don't make much of anything for YET?
Back to the sound, how is the sound on the 5500, i understand it is not a HI Fi and would not expect it to be spectacular but?? What is your impression of the sound so far??
I'm not very impressed with the sound. It's okay, but I'm used to my Klipsch 5.1 Ultras on my PC. I think the 5500's sound is comparable to a little 2 speaker radio.

Thanks again for the response, I will leave you alone so you can work on the review which I am waiting on and looking forward to.

Thanks again

I find the sound on the m5500 to be better than many other notebooks - but still not fantastic.

I wouldn't want to give up the regular PCMCIA slot - usiing mine with a Verizon modem for wireless pickup.
