Hello
How can I display a movie from my Toshiba Satellite M45-S359 notebook on a TV scree?
do i need a special software for that?

It's called "TV Out".

I'm not sure if that rings a bell.

Does your laptop have TV out?? I presume yes. So take an antena cable hook it to the laptops connector and to the TVs antenna connector and you should be fine. It's like TV out for normal desktops (from gf2mmx I guess every video card has one).

if yo have s-video out on laptop you need this http://www.svideo.com/prosvideo24.html
just connect the s video and audio jack to laptop and rca to tv
