Hi everyone,

I'm planning on getting my wife a notebook and I've narrowed it down to these two notebooks...

Compaq Presario V2575
  • AMD Turion 64 ML-34 1.8GHz
  • 14.0" WXGA High-Def Brightview Widescreen
  • 1024MB DDR
  • 100GB (4200RPM)
  • 128MB Shared ATI Radeon Xpress 200M
  • 12-Cell Lithium-Ion
  • Lightscribe 8X DVD+/- R/RW

Dell Inspiron 6400
  • Intel Core Duo processor T2300 1.66GHz
  • 15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA Display with TrueLife
  • 1024MB DDR2
  • 100GB (5400RPM)
  • Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950
  • 9-Cell Lithium-Ion
  • CDR/DVD ROM Combo

Which one would you recommend for surfing the web, and doing some basic office work and the occasional DVD movie watching. To me, the Compaq seems like a better long term investment because of the 64bit CPU, and the ATI video card.
