Congrats! I'm just waiting for Dell to change their special of the week on this coming Friday, can't wait!

Anyone think the x1600 can be put in this system? If so, I may downgrade to the x1300 (unless the port is there anyway) to save some $ then add an x1600 later.

dell doesnt make an x1600, so the answer is NO.

search bud.

Searching is great but sometimes the good 'ol phone is more efficient. The Indian Dell rep I talked to said it could be upgraded to an x1600. BUT, obviously take that with a grain of salt. Especially if "dell doesn't make an x1600".

it cant be. that rep is full of BS, and you are not being very smart believing them.

the reps never know anything. read some posts.

there will NEVER be an x1600 from dell.

Changed order went with the wxga with truelife. Total now shipped is $932. The person on the phone also said they don't do the 2% for using the dpa anymore...

man unless DELL MAKES an x1600 upgade FOR the 1505, it will never fit.

you cant pull it from another brand laptop, and say itll fit.

i dont care what the rep told you, they are wrong. call again, i bet you get an answer like..." yes sir, you can install a 7800 in it" they just read scripts nothing more.

you need to search, because you are way off.

im glad i crack you up, you sound like you need a little humor in your life! ha ha

Chevyrulz= chevy rules ....not so much anymore, but its an old email address, and its hard to switch.

Chevyrulz always has a 'tude, you get used to it.

And no, a x1600 won't fit. He is right on that.

Relaaaaaax, good god. I never said I believed the Dell rep, I just stated what came out of his mouth. Believe me, I've dealt with such situations enough times to be a skeptic of most things. I think you misunderstood my question... I'm simply curious if there will ever be another graphics option available for the e1505 before it's retired.
It's possible, but not very likely. Dell doesn't usually change the vid card options for their mid-level laptops unless it's a supply issue. Most likely the x1400 will be the best card available for the E1505. Sucks but it's true.
