Well Ive read many posts about power problems with the m35x series of toshiba laptops, but most of them seem to be about the battery discharging when plugged in or the power led doing some crazy things. I have a problem that is a little different. When I first got the laptop, if i let the battery drain down to about 10% (when the low battery alarm comes on) and if I plugged it in the laptop would shut off. I could unplug and replug in all I wanted just as long as I wasnt below the 10% mark. Once the laptop was plugged in it charged fine. I called Toshiba and they told me I needed to update the BIOS, which I did. It worked great for about a year and the computer never shut down when the battery got low...untill about 2 weeks ago. I cant think of anything that I have changed, but the problem is back. Every time I plug the laptop in when the battery is below 10% it shuts down. I tried updating the BIOS again but had no luck. Other than this the power works fine. Any one have any ideas on whats going on?
