ok i tried playing bf2 and cod2 on this machine and i have to say that it runs like a charm. ( although the vid card does need improvement. ) i still feel like the display is lacking something. im leaning on getting the lcd changed TO WUXGA. i have some concerns though. some say that the XGA+ is better if you play games on this monster than the WUXGA. ill be mostly using this for games, surfing and watch dvds. so any input?
It seems like you're not going to be satified with your current screen choice. Don't bother getting others' feedback since you're the one whose going to be looking at it. I would say go for the upgrade and you'll have the peace of mind knowing that you've seen both and most likely you should be happy with your choice. But who know's, I've never seen either screen but it makes me very happy to know that both those games run quite well on your machine. I'm probably going to buy a i9400 during the summer or maybe the 15.4inch version (6800?).
although i would like to know what the WUXGA screen looks like while playing games coz i know that watching movies in it is great. oh well, might as well call dell and ask them to upgrade the lcd. ( and maybe order a 7800 GTX as well )
