It looks like we can only get the ATI® MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1400 ...

I have a 7800 Go on my 9400

Is there some big worldwide production problem at NVidia?

I ordered 4 units of 9400 for clients with the 7800go and 3 have them either have dead pixel or terrible light leakage that the clients can't stand. So I got them replaced, but Dell (customer care) says they won't be able to deliver a machine of the same specification because the 7800 has been pulled for testing and won't be available until May 1st.

many other threads about this.

so the 7800 has been pulled for testing - does that mean we might all get free upgrades to 7900 Go in the near future?

Is there supposed to be something terribly wrong with the 7800 then?

Wow! Testing? I think my card has a problem. ATITool says my max temp for memory is 327.50, times 2 of course. But that is 3 points below stock settings. Hell, I even get artifacts on PowerDVD, I can only see them on certain scenes though.

(overclocking rant)Rivatuner, nor tweakus drivers will accept anything over stock settings. I have to use ATITool to attempt overclocking. On the core I can get 350 or so MAX at any voltage, and on the memory I manually get it up to around 785, but still artifacts.

However, it is after 21 days for me, so I'm afraid I'm stuck I guess. I never even tried to play video until lately because I hadn't had time and just noticed the problem, and the artifacts were not noticable to me (I noticed all of them as I lowered speed) in games until I tried to go over around 790.

Sounds like mine wasn't tested good enough!!

You might be outside the 21 day return window, but you should still be inside warranty, unless you got some kind of grey market machine... make them fix it.

If that's the case, I'll make sure that I call them up this week. It should not be showing artifacts during video playback on stock settings.

Because RivaTuner and TweakUS Driver detects my optimal settings at 250/658, which is stock. I cannot manual overclock in either of those tools because the tests fail everytime.
