Hello.

I am trying to upgrade the video drivers for my Sager 9860 with the Nvidia
Geforce Go 6800 card.

I went to the the nvidia website to do the download and when i try to install the ForceWare 84.21 (or any other previous versions) I get the following message:

"The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit."

The graphics card information shows ForceWare Version 79.31 as the current installed version.

I am wondering if I am doing anything wrong; if i am downloading the wrong driver, or if there is something wrong with my comp.

Please help me

Thank you

Nvidia did make some drivers for Laptops but to get the latest drivers to work you will need to use a modified *.inf. Get it from laptopvideo2go. After yiu download the *.inf, then replace it for the one that is the folder that Nvidia drivers create.

see if it works without ac power

power off your computer and unplug the ac adapter so as to run JUST on battery.

see if you can boot up successfully. many have had problems with the inf file while on battery power. don't know why.

Toshiaki's post fortune: when one doesn't read the entire book, he will be repeating the same boring scene over and over.
