Ok amigos and amigas, my E1705 came in today. These are the specs, Dual 2 ghz, 1 gig DDR 2 667 mem, 256 meg Radeon X1400 Hyper Video card, 60 gig SATA HD @ 5400 RPM, and the bluetooth card. Once I get home guys I will post some pics and some benchmarks. Im sure you all want to know what this X1400 can do. I play lots of WoW, so that will be my main priority. I will let you all know.

Yes please. I'm curious to see how WoW will run on a x1400!
wow runs fine on my x300, i would expect nothing less from the x1400.

i run it at 12x10, and it works fine, thats with 4x aa and 2x af.

Well as long as I can run WoW with out slowing down I will be a happy camper. Right now Im uninstalling all the junk DELL puts in the computer. Im curious why laptops dont have hyperthreading. If they did I would have 4 CPU cycles in my taskbar. Ohh well 2 is better then 1.. I will keep you up to date guys.

Congratulations. Also curious to find out about the X1400. Did you get WUXGA or XGA and how's the screen?
no dual core intel chips (but the X edition) have hyperthreading as of today.

so its not just laptops.

hell, 100% of people would rather have two cores than HT. HT is more of a gimmick. duo is powr.

Mine came yesterday. 1m08s in SuperPi for 2M digits. Nice. The transcend memory works and it is cheap.

To answer the top persons question I got the LCD that does 1440 X 900. I have no DEAD pixels and the backlighting issue I dont notice. If I put an entire black screen at the bottom I might see it a bit more whitetish but if I look at a different angle it goes away. I have had no issue with it playing wow. I have not tried watching a DVD on it yet, but I will see if it bothers me in any way.

Ok guys here are some of my findings, the X1400 can run WOW without problem. I have been in quite a few places without lock up. If anything I think the HD is my slowest part, that will be my first upgrade once I pay this baby off. I set the resolution at 1440 by 900 at 2x. Under the ATI properties I can see the card is clock at 432 and the mem is clock at 396. Another thing I notice is usually when the video card shares memmory of the computer, under the system settings it will only display available memmory. For example if my computer had 128 megs and my video card had 64 megs shared memmory I will only see 64 megs free or so. My computer shows 1 gig free so I sill havent figured out if this ATI card is actually sharing any memmory. I havent done more testing because I been running out of time today, had to buy chicken little on DVD for the little ones. I got pics but I need a URL to host them anyone can tell me quickest way of doing it? Tommorow 3mark comes out and Ill put on a DVD movie. Also, in the back of laptop there is a DVI and Analog monitor output just like the 7800 GO. My brother in law has this laptop with the 7800 GO. Please let me know any other test you want me to do.

What processor do you have. Iv got the 2.16GHz Duo with 2GB 667MHz memory and im getting 1min 10 seconds in SuperPi. I wonder does the ram make a difference. Im using Dell stuff. Its manufactured by Nanya.
