As a funny side note, I was looking on a web-site that listed high-end and mid-end cards for Oblivion, and how they'd run. Anyway to make a long story short, I got a kick out of seeing that my ATI X850 PE was considered mid-end these days. It was a $500.00 card last year! Now it's "mid." Ha ha ahh, I guess I should upgrade. I was trying to hold out on upgrading till DX10 makes it's appearence. I really don't see the point of buying a DX9 card at this point where as we're just half a year away from DX10. We'll see....hmmm???

Go for it, Craig - no need to worry about me, as I don't do on-line voice gaming or chatting

Well i'm finally coming up for air been playing almost non stop for last few days.
Using the gold cheats would tend to cheepen it a bit in my mind it's a single player game so your not hurting anybody but yourself. It would just make it a lot easier no worries about how to pay for charges for your equip. The best house and fastest horse would be yours with out trying hard. It kidda takes away from the sense of acomplishment. Anyways enough rant.

So far i have closed two gates. I became the arch magus of the mages guild. I got a 5k horse and the ghost manor. Once you lift the curse from the manor it is a very nice house for 5k. I'm also a gladiator in the arena all this and i'm just level 12 so far hehe.

I'm using the nvidia 7800 gs agp card. I'm able to play with all settings maxed with just the slightest bitt of lag from time to time not enough to hardly notice

you should consider using ventrilo...it will help you guys get even closer as a community. And you'll be able to find out what people are really like :-0

how many houses can you own?
I think you can buy them all there is one in each major city. It would take a lot of cash thou the most expencive one is 25k. The one i bought is one of the cheapest one's but thats because it's cursed. It's also one of the bigest houses and quite nice once you remove the curse. If ya want to get it visit anvil the guy who sells it is in one of the inns there. The quest it starts is kidda tough lots of ghosts to kill bring an enchated weapon or lots of magic.

Agreed . My Clan uses Teamspeak but I just got Vent working so I can get to know sR guys better . Voice programs can definately add to the fun of online play , or just to chat without running up a phone bill .

Nice screenies, Tiro.

Is everybody still playing Oblivion? I'm level 16 now. I've finally finished all my Mage recommendations and got my Magic (Destruction!!!) Staff, but have to admit I'm doing mostly blade combat with some Destruction by Fire thown in - guess I'm living up to my Blade Mage plan...Plan to get back to the main quest now.

Also wanted to report that the game now seems quite stable on my Aurora 7500 / SLI system. At first it was freezing/crashing several times an hour. All I've done is a) progress further in the game, and b) I make sure to do a quicksave before I leave a city or Fast Travel. Anyway, no complaints at this point.

I'm still playing when I can, not as often as I'd like though. I haven't had any problems at all on my 7500.

im still tryng to get past configuring my character without it crashing on me. i tried some tweaks and hopefully theyll work, if not then ill have to look for another solution. i do have like 6 big projects for school coming up so its probly not a good idea for me to start this game until summer.

Well finished the main quest right before i left for vegas. Also became chapion of the arena. I'm now a member of the dark brotherhood seems durring the final battle in the main quest i killed a cilivian. The horse you get thru the dark brotherhood is very nice he is fast as heck and very durrable. He is also quite agressive every time i stop anywhere near an enemy he goes after them. I'm kidda running out of stuff to do might join the fighters guild just for the heck of it. Not sure i can thou as i'm already the head guy of the mages guild.

No wonder we haven't seen much of you, Leorik. Between Oblivion and Las Vegas, you've been a busy guy. Looks like you'll have Oblivion wrapped up in no time and then back to EQII??? I'm looking forward to Guild Wars Factions.

Well i think i'm pretty much done with eq 2. Playing Oblivion has reminded me what i liked about solo rpgs and showed what is missing in mmogs. I have yet to cancel my sub to eq but i think it will happen soon. I'll check out some of the mods for oblivion might even try my hand at creating my own.

You know Leorik, I loved EQ2 a lot. I really enjoyed that one. It wasn't untill Sony made the stupid move of opening up all the places (all the landmasses) that before you had to earn through quests, that's when I tuned out! They ruined it for me with that move.
P.S. I sent you a PM back on your Vampire quest btw.
