I'm feeling much better about my purchase of the E1505 today A few more months of life before it will be a victim of Vista.

why are you worried? if it has the 7800 you should be fine for vista from what we have heard.

but yeah, theres nothing telling you you HAVE to upgrade to vista till you cant get the programs you need.

He said he purchased the E1505. The E1505 never had the 7800 as an option...

This is why people should be careful in their speculation of laptop technology. Buy for your needs now and the immediate future. As for Vista, no surprise. And remember, as much as MS talks the talk a lot of households in the US do not have "cutting edge" hardware and won't for some time to come. I feel quite confidant that the two 17" lappies I got will hold their own for a couple of years...
