Ubuntu 9860 and Sound

I never really used Linux but wanted to see if it would install on my 9860. Right now I can't get the sound to work. It shows the sound as Intel HDa. I tried to get the Linux drivers from the Realtek site to install but nothing happens.

Hmm check the linux on the 9860 thread that is stickied in this forum?

If you have and still cant get it to work then ill give it a shot, but check there first as it may contain more specific info than I can give since I dont have that laptop.

Ok the fix was easy. I had to change devices from HDA Intel to the Realtek. So the Ubuntu (Breezy Badge) was really easy to install on the 9860 for someone who has not done it before.
