Most home circuits will take close to 2000W I believe, so there's not a big concern there. If you're plugging a bunch of other stuff into the same circuit as the Renegade though you could get yourself in trouble, especially a laser printer or something like that.
Personally, I think it's a cool computer and it shows what Dell can do. People that have the money to buy that computer are not worried about the price. They want the best and they're willing to pay for it. The fact is there is nothing in the consumer market with that kind of power, so if you want it you have to pay for it. Sure you can build a system like that for 2/3 the price, but you'd have to build it yourself. And that's something the people that can afford that system will not want to(nor have the time to) do.
Either way, you'll never see one of those in my house. I'd rather build the system myself, get it custom painted and know that I put everything together with my own hands.
