Depending on your needs, yes. If you need something portable (<7lbs, 15,4") with a decent battery life (~3,5hrs), dual core processor and a GREAT video card, this is the notebook for you.

However if you are willing to sacrifice portability in order to gain power, there are better options, such as the Sagers, MSI or Asus.

No.
Thank you for your response, I think I'm deciding on getting this. $500 for something I know I will love seems worth it than risking $2000 and HOPING its something I will love. I am just hoping it will last me until a few months after DirectX10 is released (gaming wise). I'll be buying a new desktop pc when the 2nd-3rd Directx10 card comes out

And I was deff looking for something with decent battery life, portable, and gaming all in one. 17' is just to heavy to lug around class to class. The fact the batteries charge in an hour is even a bigger plus. I've also heard with the right settings the batteries can last up to 5.5 hours using simple apps!!

I will post a nice big review of the notebook when I get it (probabbly in a month or so)

I own the 8204, and am very pleased with it. Very capable. But, I suggest you search through the forums for other threads on it, since there are several owners who are not happy with it for a variety of reasons. Forewarned is forearmed.
