Have anyone use bluetooth headset on your bluethooth card on the Dell E1705? If so does it sound quality sound good when you play music and games? And what bluethooth headset do you use? I am thinking of buying a bluetooth headset for my laptop because I don't like to use any wires.

I bought a BT Motorola headset for my phone and wanted to see if it would do double duty as a low-quality earpiece for my laptop in the car, on an airplane, etc. To my surprise, it works. The only complaint I have is that I get a little static, which I find odd because I do not get any static when I use it with my phone.

I'll be interested to see the replies to this. I wanted a BT headphone when I bought my 9100, but no one made one. Now that I've seen one or two, I wonder how well they work.

Uhh, as far as I know, the BT module in your laptops should support AD2P for stereo headset support. Dont know if it does or not, anyone got info on that?

Or should I get the Creative ones for only a $100 http://www.mwave.com/mwave/viewspec....iteria=3806284

Like I said, I'm not even sure if the BT module in the laptop supports AD2P or not, which means it'd be a complete waste getting those headsets since they wont provide stereo sound.

I bought a pair of motorola BT820's from Jr.com

I don't have the laptop or the headphones yet, but I did a lot of research and it appears folks have these working with dell 350 bluetooth modules that are integrated in the dell laptops...

I'll let you know when I get them...

Well, the laptop came yesterday and the headphones the day before. I played around with them today, and I must say I am pretty happy. The bluetooth headphones essentially work in two different modes, one is the handsfree headset (cell phone mode as I like to call it) and in the stereo headset mode (for music).

For music, I streamed a copy righted apple itune from my main computer over a 802.11.b connection to my laptop and listened to it on itunes with the bluetooth HT820 headset from motorola. Sound was great and I was able to walk put 1-2 walls in between myself and the laptop before the sound dropped out. Not too bad...

In the headset mode, they worked with MSN messenger 7.5 flawless as I videochat'ed with a buddy of mine in virginia (I live in nebraska). All on the 802.11b connection....worked great.

There are a few quirks, with the bluetooth stack and the jumping back and forth between the two headset profiles. But its nothing too bad. The headset does start to cut into your ears after prolonged use, (over an hour). I still can't figure out how to get the controls on the headset to pause/play/skip tracks in windows media player or itunes...I have read from some folks that it works...but I can't get it.

HapiROTT where did you buy it? does it need a dongle to work or is it enough with the built-in bt ?
it will use the BT module, but I believe the only way to get it is in the MX5000 Mouse Keyboard combo package, I am also awaiting the BTmx1000 mouse only package. I have no need for the keyboard.

check some of the other threads, there is some pretty good tweaks for the bluetooth drivers....
