With the new Dell bluetooth stack, my Motorola Bluetooth headset works with full functionality....

The new driver now enables AVRCP (remote control functions) so I can now use the forward and back track buttons on my headset, as well as pause/play....No fastforward or seek within a song though....oh well...it works...pretty slick and good sounding quality stereo headset (Motorola BT820 for those how want to research)

Since I'm on the road and my new e1505 is sitting in it's box at home I can't comment on the Dell BT 350 card yet, but I can say I've had good luck with my Motorola HT 820 headphones, a targus usb BT adapter and the Blue Soleil drivers. Looking forward to getting home to check out my new lappy w/ the Dell BT card and Core Duo processor

isn't it wild to be able to walk around and listen to your MP3 collection...I love these things...now I wish someone would make a nice Bluetooth adapter for the Nano....and not one of those crappy ones that plug into the head phone jack...I want one that looks like that iTrip for NANO from Griffen...that would be bitchin

Anyhow...on another note, I am really putting BT to use, my Bluetooth mouse from microsoft came today and it works great. no problems using both the headset and the mouse at the same time.

I can't get the HT820 to work as either the headphones or headset on my XPS2.

Which version of the Dell BT stack are you using?
Are there any quaint install instructions I should be aware of?

i am using a driver from about may 06 I believe. Inside the little bluetooht applet I believe there is a setting you want to check for headsets I am not sure though, I don't have the laptop with me at the moment.

I know I am necro-threading but I wanted to get fresh opinions on these headsets.

Do the HT820's work with skype while gaming?

Anyone installed VIsta RC1 to test BT?

I have a generic BT USB adaptor on my PC. Vista RC1 has some REALLY good drivers for BT and the headsets etc

The profile switching is gone. I use skype on my desktop, and when ever i make a skype call, since i got Skype to use BT by default, windows "activates" the headset for you, just like the cell phones do. Only thing if unlike the cellphone, you dont need to press a button to "pick up" it just turns on. Its great!!!! And whenever my headset turns on, unlike in XP, all my other computer sounds stay the same. ONLY apps that use BT will transmit the sound to the headset, in my case, SKYPE.

I hope VIsta is able to install good drivers on the dell BT module. Anyone tried with RC1 yet?

I just bought the Motorola headset. I like it except I can't figure out how to make it work in stereo WITH voice, so when I play games I can hear the game in stereo and still chat to people over Teamspeak etc. I can make it work in mono with the microphone though.

Any ideas?

open BT setting, select the "Bluetooth" menu item, select options, enable
AV remote control service..and the buttons will work
