Scratch and dent

Has anyone had any experience with a scratch and dent laptop off of Dell outlet? I was just wondering how severe of damage it could be. Also, does anyone know if you still get the xps extras (direct help, etc.) if you order one from the outlet. I need a lappy soon, and there prices are looking shitty @home, so I'm thinking my only option right now might be off of the outlet. So any experience with any outlet laptop would be nice to hear. Thanks.

ive read several peoples posts on here about S/D

they say its all luck. most of the people have also said that the stuff is barely scratched, and that its very nice still.

Ive gotten a S/D 600m off the Dell outlet site, and I can say that I was an unlucky one. The computer worked perfectly, but there was a really deep scratch on the outside lid, and the right hinge had a crack in it and would wobble when the screen was opened and close.

The hardest part about a S/D for me is finding one with a configuration that I like. Other than that the amount of scratches or dents is a little luck.

Is there a warranty on SnD? I'm havin a tough time navigating Dell sites, I just can't seem to find what I want exactly. Either that or they don't offer it.

I just recieved my m140 s&d, and I can hardly believe it!! It looks absolutely brand new. The only thing that even resembles a scratch is a little squiggly mark on the cover, it just looks like a piece of hair. You can only see it if you look at it with your eyes level with the laptop.

And It came with the standard xps 1-year warranty.

I actually bought mine S/D and I LOVE my laptop. Aside from a couple "quirks" that have developed with my video card it works beautifully. And the 50 percent off wasn't bad either. It was originally $1890 bucks and I got it for $900 and some change. The only damage I could see was a small barely noticeable nick on the lid.

And to the person who asked about the warranty, ALWAYS buy the extended gold/complete care warranty with it. Dell only gives you a 90 day warranty on any item bought off the outlet store by default.

I've bought several S&D systems, only 1 had a little scratch. Otherwise they are good.
