Will the Intel GMA 900 be able to run vista? I saw that the 950 will but will this one?

The barebones Vista uses XP system requirements.
But I'd have a gig of ram too though.
Just in case.

Vista will run on pretty much any video card, and by run I mean be able to install and be used. Now if u want the fancy smancy aero and all that crap, then probably not. But for the OS without any special effects its just like xp, where the gpu doesnt really matter.

U should be worried more about ram tho, because thats one thing that vista eats up alot of, so if u want it to run smooth (not the aero, just vista) u want at least 1gig, if not more.

I think it will run the new 3D GUI. Intel added hardware pixel shaders in the GMA 900 and I am betting it will be enough to run the fancy, new GUI. If you read reviews on the GMA 900, like the one at anandtech, they specifically mention that while Intel's new chipset does offer much improvement compared to IE2 graphics, the major motive was for it to be fully compatible with Microsoft's new OS.
