I've been thinking of upgrading the ram in my GX6 to from 1GB to 2GB.
I see such memory modules for sale everywhere on the internet that says it's compatable with the GX6 which would seem to suggest such an upgrade was supported.
When looking for the manual online to verify memory location and upgrade instructions to see what kind of hassle it would be to do it myself (I've since misplaced my manual) the closest I could find was the manual from Clevo for the base system (before Hypersonic got ahold of it to make whatever changes they did)
Now, the thing is, in said manual I found, it said the system only supported up to 2x512mb modules for 1gb total. So I'm confused by the companies saying they have 1GB memory modules for this system when the manual from clevo says it won't support it.
Is it just a matter of upgrading the Bios for such support? Was it always able to support such but 512mb was the largest module they had to install when the manual was written?
Any help would be appreciated, as I really want to upgrade my memory but, obviously, don't want to waste a lot of cash by buying some only to find out it won't work
