New notebooks for the US?

It looks like there are some new Acer notebooks being released outside the US, but does anyone know what is in the pipeline for US release?

I'd like to get a 14'' widescreen with X1400 or better OR
15.4'' with X1600 for around $1600 (I know...a stretch).

God, I hope I don't sound like a broken record (I've posted about this 3 times in different places, but sort of by accident)....

Just for grins I configured an Alienware M5500 with:
x1600/60GB HDD/1GB Ram/Wireless/740 1.73 Mghz/WSXGA+/CD-RW;DVD for $1682.

nice looking machine. However, I really need a core duo (lots of multitasking) and the Alienware is a little too "funky" for office presentations.

Does anyone know if the 5562 is coming to the US or not?

That is bassically the same as the 5672 except the screen. I take it you don't want a 15.4" that has an x1400?

I'd rather not because I'm going to be carrying the machine everyday. If I'm going to lug around a 15.4'' I want it to be worthwhile (hence, X1600 or similar). I do like the 5672 but a similarly configured Toshiba M100 (14'',X1400, about 1.5lbs less) will cost around the same. In January, we were hearing about all of these X1600 machines in the pipeline, but they all seem to be released outside the US (with a few exceptions that are out of my price range).
