The point is not to have the extra ports, though one of the docks has a d/bay in it for another drive if you want and a half length pci slot, but the point it to make it easy to hook up and unhhok your laptop to and from all your peripherals when you come and go. The M90 is a workstation for people who do graphic arts or 3d grfx and I would think (as I will when I get mine) that i will have a bigger monitor, keyboard, and mouse that they will be hooking up to their m90 and I travel with my laptops alot so to just be able to unhook it from a dock is a great feature. Currently I have to unplug 4 things from my 9300 and that's when I don't have my secondary monitor hooked up to it.

Just my $.02

That looks sweet! I wish the M90 had some of those looks

edit: after looking at the site the pic is from...I don't care for that all silver look. I think black would be cooler. Just my $.02

From same site...

Shows pretty clearly there's docking support!

1 The black look of the M90 and M170 is nicer than that silver and reverse black stuff. Oh well.

The bottom doesn't look right for some reason. The cooling looks entirely inadequate. But I sure could be just wrong about that never having studied the bottom of the others.

that's the same cooling as on the 9300s, 9400s, M90 and the xps line since at least the XPS Gen2. IT does a fair job. you have to realize that unlike the laptops that have desktop processors, these stay relatively cool because the components were actually made for a laptop

Sir Meili, I can't remember if I asked you already, but would it be possible to stick FEAR or some recent game and get a timedemo going to check out the FPS please?

Oh, and how does the matte screen compare to that on the M1710 or haven't you seen one?

If you buy me Fear and send it to me I'll put it on....LOL. I don't really have the resources to be buying games for test. Otherwise I would in a second. I really did buy this laptop for my business and I'm saving up all them money I can for 3 2407s.

I haven't seen the M1710 screen, but my 9300 has the glossy and it really depends on when I'm using it as tio which I like better. The Glossy is good for movies and such, but the Matte is better for when I do graphics work.
