Toshiba Satellite M35X doesn't have a separate video card; it is integrated into the system board. Try to connect the laptop to an external monitor. If you see the same messed up video on the external monitor, the system board is bad and should be replaced.
If the external video is fine, then most likely the LCD screen is bad. There is also a possibility of a bad video cable or a bad connection. Before you spend any money, try to reseat the video cable on the system board
and on the back of the LCD screen
