Im just going to update my Post With Needed Software for Every Using a Dell Inspiron System. Eventually I'll move some of the more popular files like video card drivers and 3rd party software on my webserver.

when I use fangui, it keeps giving me an error that my 2nd fans can not be switched on...rahter annonying when I'm working on something or watching a movie and i get "jerked" out of movie...btw congrats DM on becoming a MOD =P

I am wondering if the new omegadrivers need to be modded? or are they premoded for notebook usage?

I don't believe the omega drivers need to be modded, I just DL and my bench mark scores for 3DMark01, 03, aqua mark went up significantly...thought about using powerstrip but don't care to max out my lappy that's for school use at the risk of sending it back to dell...

I used the omega drivers when I had a sager 4080 ati radeon 9600 pro recently and it increased my 3dmark 2001 score by about 2500. They are already premodded for laptop gfx cards.

I have an Inspiron 5100. Will Fangui and Powerstrip work on this model. I noticed the name of the fangui file is I8kfangui. Sorry if the question seems simple but I have only owned it for 2 weeks. Its my first notebook.
