E1505 Order Question - Page 2

I am really in a hurry. Need a laptop RIGHT NOW.

I am thinking of canceling my order and go with some other brand.

Anyone else offers Duo Core at this price?

below 700 for T2300/xga/60G/DVDRW ?

I'm curious, how come you returned your Hitachi 7200 RPM drive if that's what you'd want in your 1505?

Mine is in production

Mine went to production status this morning. I'm so glad I ordered last week when the 750 coupon and the 7K100 drive were still available.

The HDD for the E1505 is a SATA while the HDD for the 6000 is not, that's why.

Would they put it into "in production" if the cards weren't there? Just seems weird to have it "in production" with a delivery estimate still April 18-20, doesn't it? But they may be how they do stuff and it will just hang in "kitting" or "build" for a couple of weeks?

I suspect pre-production means "we're waiting for the credit card to clear".
i doubt if pre-production means "waiting for the credit card to clear," because there were alot of people who were in pre-production for the last week. i also ordered my e1505 last week and today i found out it is in production.

as for the estimated ship dates they are just estimates. i actually believe i will receive my laptop before the date listed for shipment 4/17-4/19. this is just something that dell does, they give you an estimated date and the next thing you know you receive your computer a week ahead of schedule, happened to me before with dell.

well when i checked dell's website today and yesterday it indicated that i was in the production phase but is not specific on which phase. the only thing that was in blue was the word "in production" while all the subtitles below it was greyed out.

funny thing is that when i call dell's telephone number to find out the order status, it indicates "in production" and up the "build" state. i guess the telephone system is more updated in terms of order status than the website.

It could just be that the phone system is less accurate. I called, and its the same situation for me too, but I'm not confident it's actually in build yet. The 1505's seem to be shipping out pretty much when they say they will from what I have seen... Which means another 2 weeks for me.

I ordered the 22nd and I'm still "in production" with the X1400 and a delivery date of 4/18-4/20.
