Ordered 3/30, it has shipped. Very nice. That's the Dell I know and love. Shipping my order on the 2nd business day after placing it.

dang.. i ordered on the 30th:

1.83ghz, 80gig 5400, 1gig pc4200, sxga+ w/ true life, 8x dvd, x1400 and it's still in boxing. i ordered early in the morning too w/ the 40% off coupon. i hope my status changes soon.

for people that ordered on or around the 30th, what was the estimated delivery date listed on dell order status?

mine said and still says april 14th, altho i suspect that it should arrive like 1 week sooner.

I had a estimated ship date of 4/17
Hopefully everyone gets their systems by the end of this week!

Don't worry, mine still said the same thing this morning. Then I checked a couple of hours ago and it had shipped. I imagine your status will change today or tomorrow and it will get to you end of this week or first of next week. Although next Monday IS the 10th, so their estimate wouldn't have been too far off.

I got the X1300 instead of the X1400, but I don't think that will matter. I ordered around 9am on Thursday the 30th.

Mine is currently in the shipping phase, under the sub phase of "In Transit".

These are the steps that it goes by:
IN TRANSIT
Your order has left Dell's manufacturing facility and is on its way to the carrier's regional distribution center. The typical duration of this stage is 1-3 business days. Your tracking number may not be available until your shipment arrives at the carrier's regional center. Please check back to obtain your tracking number through this tool.

EN ROUTE
Your Order has reached the carrier's regional distribution center and is en route to its final destination.

DELIVERED
Congratulations!! The carrier has reported that your order has been successfully delivered.

so... are we thinking this batch will be "En Route" by tomorrow? I dont know what typical "In Transit" time is, but I'm hoping only 24 hours?

Mine is still in testing, I ordered on the 31st. I'm hoping it'll be in boxing by tomorrow. It's interesting to see how much faster the people that ordered the day before are getting theirs through. I just hope it ships out this week so I can get it early next week at the latest.

Well, so far I'm less than underwhelmed at my responses from Dell. I ordered my E1705 the day before they took down the 7800go option. I got an expected ship date of April 6th with delivery of the 13th.

I check the order page, and it's "In Production" and phone system has it in the Build stage.

I called support, and the best answer they could give me is "I don't know what is holding it up."

Of course... I see I'm in the wrong thread :P

Kipp, it's probably waiting for parts... from what lots of other people write on here, it's not always literally what the status reads, it could still be in kitting... other people have said it went straight to boxing, then back to kitting... stuff like that could cause yer problems.

Oh, btw, "In Transit"!!! UPS says it will be here on Wednsday!

The only reason I'm so giddy is cuz this is the first laptop I've ever owned, extremely exciting for me.

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

UPS says they tried to deliver my laptop to me this morning, but because somehow the address got truncated by Dell it didn't include my company name, they didn't know where in the building to deliver to. Am going to try to find out if I can drive to the UPS offices tonight to pick it up.

I hate UPS. FedEx would have called the contact number, and even if they didn't I would have been guaranteed to be able to pick it up tonight after 4pm at their offices.

My order changed from boxing to shipped "in transit" yesterday morning. This morning I got the email with the tracking #. Scheduled for delivery tomorrow.
