Memory/Video Card for my B130 *QUESTION*

Thread Starter
I just found out that since my B130 has 512MB of ram, it also boosted my videocard up.

Does anyone know by how much? I thought I had on-board video because I didnt purchase any video card. Although it says I have 128MB worth of Video Size.

How does this work? I LOVE the fact that I can play a couple games with pretty decent graphics now... I want to keep it the way it is, however my question is, if I upgarde memory, what should I get? Also how much will the new memory allocate towards my video card? Could I specify how much I could use for video? Or is the max set to.. say 128?

Any responses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It's actually 96 Megs.

Here's a guide to installing video drivers from Intel.

I too have 512 ram, and the info the video setup offers says the max memory is 96 Megs of ram.
It usually only uses 8 Megs.

Oh. And there's a guide to tell you the monitor calibration in the link too.
The info the video setup offers lists the monitor you have.
Just use the calibration for your monitor model.

After I've installed the Dell video drivers. I've installed the Intel Drivers on two different installations.
Once I had to reformat to correct the botched up job.
Once it worked.
Now, I install it before I install the Dell video drivers and it works every time.

I got the instructions from a old thread in the centrino board, and he got it from the Dell.com forums.
Seems to work for them.
Something somewhere is buggy though, and the dell video driver doesn't always uninstall.

These Calibration settings are made with the driver I wrote about.
The calibration the Intel driver makes is different than the one Powerstrip makes.

Something somewhere is buggy though, and the dell video driver doesn't always uninstall.
It works every time on a new installation if it was the only video driver installed.
