Media Direct buttons

If someone could help me with this it would be great. The stop button on the front of my Inspiron 6000 is not working(media direct buttons). I have tried updating the drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling. Also installed the media direct fix. When I use one of the other buttons, play ect. they work and the lights come on all the buttons including the stop. When I hit the stop button the lights do nothing and the button does not work either. Oh yeah I just got this laptop yesterday so its not like the button has alot of miles on it. THIS SUCKS!!!

I figured it out it just has a bad button, I got mad and pressed it really hard and now it is working, you just have to press it a little harder than the rest of the buttons. Now the only question is, is it going to last!

i had a bad button. you have to take the whole top apart to replace it. usually dell will send the WHOLE touchpad assembly, and you replace the whole thing.

not hard, but lots of bottom screws. PITA.

my stop button/ V down button were FUBAR
