What Sony services and progs can i safely uninstall?

I'm thinking in terms of stuff like VAIO media and so on- what does the laptop absolutely need to function and what can i do away with? eg, what about the 'switcher' facility for wireless? Do I need that- I tend to use the XP built in wireless config utility!!!

Also, does anyone else notice that start up can be slow- the welcome screen tends to hang, i think- but every time I play with msconfig, it gets slower rather than faster!

On my SZ I did the semi-restore described here, and only installed the Bluetooth, Fingerprint and Wireless Switch - none of the bundled apps. Been running with it for about a week now and everything appears to be working.

It seems that procedure only works properly on US machines! I'm in the UK!

Oh OK... well, here's what I still have installed:

Bluetooth Stack
HDAUDIO SoftV92 Data Fax Modem with SmartCP
High Definition Audio Driver
Intel Graphics Driver
Intel Wireless Software
J2SE Runtime Environment
Microsoft .NET Framework
NVIDIA Drivers
OpenMG Secure Module
Protector Suite QL
Setting Utility Series
SigmaTel Audio
Sony Certificate PCH
Sony MP4 Shared Library
Sony Utilities DLL
Sony Video Shared Library
VAIO Central
VAIO Event Service
VAIO HDD Protection
VAIO Power Management
VAIO Registration
VAIO Security Center
VAIO Support Central
VAIO Update 2
Wireless Switch Setting Utility

Some of that can probably be uninstalled as well...
