No sound on 12" powerbook

I had to do a repair to my 12" aluminum g4 pb recently and after putting it all back together there is no sound. Is there any diagnostic software I can run before opening the unit back up again that might point me to whats speficically wrong with it.

Im pretty sure its a hardware problem, a cable I forgot to plug in, or mabey plug in backwards. I really dont feel like opening this up again, as most of you know, these things are VERY well built and take a while to get into.

The sheer amount of screws in this thing is unbelievable!!

Your OS install disk has a diagnostic programme on it. Reboot with the disk in the drive and hold down the Option key after the chime. When the boot chooser comes up tell it to boot the hardware test.

go to this site if you want to take part a mac they give yu great instructions (and print the instruction and tape the screw on the instruction where they go so they go back in the right place.)
