Area-51m: 15.4 or the 16.1?

I am new to laptops but have been building desktops for years. I know in my desktop experience, in my opinion the bigger the better but what about in laptops? The 15.4 has 2 additional speakers. But the 16.1 is 7-tenths bigger. WHICH ONE SHOULD I GET!?!?!?!!

Based on your history you are among brothers on this forum. As for the display I think it comes down to personal preference. I have a 15.4 and love it. People who get the 16.1 have the same feelings and are, in my estimation, in the majority on this forum. When I purchased my AW I wanted a wide screen format so the 16.1 was not a serious consideration. The two extra speakers are nice but I do not believe that they are a phenomenal addition to the AW experience. What I love about the 15.4 is the extreme clarity and the wide viewing angles. Quite simply it is beautiful and makes me smile every time that I open the lid and turn it on. I highly recommend it.

As far as specs go ... the 15.4 is a Hitachi display (same as the dell 8600).
Viewing angles of:
+/- 65 degree (horizontal)
+/- 50 degrees (vertical)
and 35 ms response time.

The 16.1 has been reported to have a 45ms response time on this forum, but I don't know any other specs.

from what i´ve heard the 15.4 has better responsetime than the 16.1... so in case you are a diehard gamer who cant stand a bit of ghosting you should get the 15.4.
and if you do not care about a little bit of ghosting then you should get the 16.1 as laptopspeakers suck.

I love my 15.4, I think it is huge for a laptop screen.

15.4 is enough, no need to cash out for 16.1 unless you plan to let everyone in a room to see what is going on.
