Ok, big dumb question coming your way:

Is the modem linux-compatible in the 5660? (SuSE 8.1 if it matters)

I'm assuming it is; just need someone else to tell me.

Once someone answers I'll delete the topic :P

Modem...

Well so far after what i have read in these forums, it appears that the on board modem is indeed one of those dreaded WinModem. Don't have any info yet on wich chip is used.
