Hey been readin here for a few weeks and looking to get a new laptop.
I like to play games and also just want a computer which is 1. high spec and 2 dons't crash etc.

Now i have narrowed it down to the dell E1705 or the M170.

Now i am stuck. I can get this spec m170:
2.13Ghz
80GB 7200rmp
2gb ram
7800gtx
dvd writer
etc...
for $2250 inc. tax and delivery.

I went to a dell stall in a mall and went to ask the guy to take a look at the M170 and he says why get that when you can get the e1705 with a dup processor and a 7800 instead. Which i thought ooo great. But then they just stopped doing the 7800 and speaking to dell people they said it was because they were only doing the 7800 while they finished quality testing and now it is only the ATI card. the quote i got for similar spec E1705 but with the ATI Card is 2900 inc tax so which should it be?? Do you think i should go duo for the furture or is the M170 price good enough to go for it?

dont get all the extras dell charges too much you can get a base down to 1,648 and add extras allot cheaper if you need them

Look for one on ebay. I saw one with a 1.6ghz CPU, 256mb RAM, and a 7800, buy it now for around $1450.. Just swap out the CPU, add some RAM and you're good to go

To be honest, get the XPS, it's better and would be worth it. More importantly, buy from Bal'thzar he can get you a sweet deal (hes a certified reseller).
